Because is such cases there are high possibilities that the consumer will visit the website and leave without really buying anything. This could also cause you to lose a customer for ever.

I have learned through experience that people generally like to see things of their interest when they visit a website and not the flashy and promotional some things which are not meant for them. If you have to put ads in your webpage, try and put text ads that are not jarring to the eyes.

Many a times, you get smart visitors to your website, who know the tricks of cutting slash your commission by visiting the merchant’s website directly cutting on your commission. How they do it is by, altering the link names and removing your aff_id. Though it is difficult to curb this completely, there is one trick I can tell you which is normally used by smart affiliates. They keep their link name as affiliate_ site. This makes it difficult for the user to alter the id.
