It is not new that search engine optimization is the most powerful form of internet marketing. What we shall be doing here is a comparison between Google and Yahoo the two most powerful search engine optimization service providers.
Several businesses have flourished from the benefits of search engine optimization. Many software firms, online shopping portals, travel agencies and service providers have enjoyed the fruits of search engine optimization in the past.
The two most powerful search engines in the internet world today are Google and Yahoo. Most web masters work towards attaining high ranking in these two search sites first. The more dominating one amongst these two is Google- the powerful search master. Yes, why I call Google the search master is very evident from the fact that almost 60% of the search traffic that the websites receive are from Google leaving just 40% to Yahoo.
The competition is a tough one between the two search engine optimization services websites. Where Google’s PPC had undergone a recent fall in bidding percentage, Yahoo’s Overture was running smooth and providing good business to its clients. The recent downfall in Google might have affected its clients’ businesses, but the brand loyalty Google has built with its clients is so strong that I am sure not one of them ha left its services then.
The recent merger talks between Yahoo and Microsoft might make them a much stronger competitor than they are individually, but the fact is that Google is number one and any merger by as many service providers across the globe might not be sufficient to surpass the search master. (You might call me a brand loyal Google-ite, but I don’t really mind that.)
