Mobile image Ads, launched by Google in 13 countries including US, UK and India will provide a new way to mobile web surfers to interact with mobile web content. The image ads will be contextual and relevant with only one ad being displayed per page. This will make browsing through mobile web surfing quite interesting.
This new innovation by Google Mobile team is similar to the standard image ads that one sees on the web pages, just that they shall be smaller in size to fit the mobile screen. These ads are made to run on the content network of the mobiles too.
The mobile image ads have a higher click through ratio and hence are more beneficial to the advertisers than the normal desktop ads. The fact that these ads will be shown only one on each page are also a benefiting factor for the advertisers. And for the publishers it is always a beneficial deal. They can either choose to show only text ads or image ads, or they can also opt for a blend where their ad will have both text and image.
Google has also provided a benefit to its already AdSense users. In order to avail the facility of mobile image ads the AdSense user only needs to update their AdSense code in order to begin using their mobile ads.
