Yahoo rejected Microsoft's proposal that called for restructuring of the Yahoo Search engines.
All those of you who thought that Yahoo and Microsoft story was dead, wake up! The past two days have been quite an uproar in the Yahoo and Microsoft office. The second largest search engine Yahoo, once again rejected the joint deal of Microsoft and investor Carl Icahn. This deal entailed Yahoo to restructure it's search engines business to Microsoft. The internet marketing company, who has been valiantly fighting the Microsoft deal for months now, has finally told it's suitor to bid to buy the whole of Yahoo.
If news is to be believed, it is said that Yahoo was given less than 24 hours to decide on the proposal. Well, this oulds more like a do or die situation. Wonder what was so critical at Yahoo that Microsoft had the upper hand of offering just a couple of hours to the leading internet marketing company.
Yahoo is said to have rejected the offer considering the on going Google deal more lucrative and less risky than handing over their search processes to Microsoft.
While, Yahoo is notready to hand over its most advantageous search business to Microsoft because of loss to it's stake holders, shall we take it, that the search engine will be ready to deal with Google if ever it stretched it's hand for friendship? After all, Yahoo agrees that business with Google is more lucrative than Microsoft. So what's up next Mr. Yahoo Yang.
